Sarah Kathryn was 22 when she started her entrepreneurial adventure in matchmaking. After hundreds of successful dinners in Atlanta, Sarah Kathryn became restless and decided to challenge herself by expanding Eight at Eight to other markets. Under her guidance and based on hundreds of requests to bring this concept nationwide, Eight at Eight expanded to Chicago, New York, and Washington, DC.
Alas, it became apparent that, to ensure continued success for our clients and ourselves, Eight at Eight needed to scale back to only Atlanta and New York City.
Our singles database contains many dating profiles and continues to grow – an amazing turnaround for a dating service on the verge of dissolving under previous ownership!
Due to an increased demand, we broadened our membership to where we are currently accepting singles ages 21-65 who are interested in attending Eight at Eight dinners.
Eight at Eight has led to over 400 marriages, thousands of first dates, hundreds of serious relationships, dozens of first kisses, and even a few dozen of babies.
We’ve even been featured in/on/by The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, Entrepreneur Magazine, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Men’s Health, Fox News, New York Post, The Chicago Tribune, The Atlanta Journal, and other local media outlets.
Jennifer Barnes Miotke
Director of Membership
Jennifer Barnes Miotke brings a true passion for bringing people together and has been a matchmaker for over 15 years. What makes her unique as a matchmaker is that she used dating services, dated online, and ultimately met her husband through a matchmaker. Jennifer leads a (mostly) low-key life with her husband and daughter, Madeline in Marietta. Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Jennifer is a proud graduate of the College of Charleston. Jennifer enjoys regular fitness, especially running and yoga. She is an avid reader, typically reading four or five books at a time, and she is a member of Mount Bethel Church. Jennifer feels that being a matchmaker is her dream job and knows it is her calling to get the right people connected. She is heavily connected in the matchmaking industry and regularly attends conferences with matchmakers and date coaches all over the country. Anna Lentz
Event Coordinator
Over the last 10 years, Anna has contributed to our overall success in various capacities and been a driving force in our ability to maintain the highest level of client satisfaction. Originally from Douglas, Georgia, Anna earned a BA in History from the University of Georgia and remains a huge supporter. She enjoys throwing terrific parties and exploring all Atlanta has to offer – including with her high school sweetheart husband and three growing children. In addition to helping create meaningful matches with One on One, Anna’s main role is coordinating delicious Eight at Eight Dinner Club events in Atlanta. While artfully choosing charming restaurants and even more charming singles – and balancing all those details – Anna keeps her clients and colleagues smiling by being both sassy and genuine.
Emily Soltan
Matchmaker
Emily is originally from the Midwest, but now considers Atlanta her home. She has experience in event planning and winery operations. On a visit to Atlanta, she drove by our office and called to see if we had any job openings. Her tenacious, fun spirit made us instantly want to hire this dynamic team member!
Emily is an important part of the office and is the matchmaker for 1on1 Matchmaking clients who are 35 years old and younger. She also helps recruit for VIP clients and helps in Eight at Eight Dinner Club enrollment, hostessing the dinner parties, and date coaching sessions.
While she is out of the office she is enjoying life with her husband, Chase. Anna Lentz matched them up together after meeting Chase at a UGA tailgate. Emily met him on a blind date in 2017 and the rest is history!
